Hi, my name is Helen, I have been a carer for twelve years. I have worked in a variety of roles during my twelve years as a carer. I began working at a care home and have now been a home-carer, working with private clients, for over seven years. I like reading and watching TV in my spare time and I really enjoy cooking and baking. At the moment I am available on Monday, Friday and Saturday mornings and all day Thursday. Please message me if you would like to discuss your care requirements, I look forward to hearing from you.
Helen was assigned to my wife as a carer at the start of September 2013. She has carried out her duties very well. She is caring, helpful, very kind and willing. My wife was very pleased with her careful treatment and efficiency.
Helen is a carer for a neighbour who I take voluntary administrative responsibility for. She suffers from a range of difficulties, both mentally and physically. She has been through the social care system and found them too inflexible for her needs. She has employed 2 private carers in just over a yr and 4 in two. All of them have presented some kind of problem for the client. Either they do not do the full time, or they are unreliable on time or they cannot agree times that work for the client. In all that time the client has never shown the level of satisfaction that she has found with Helen. To quote her "Helen listens and understands me. No task is too big or too small and Helen has an eye for details". Helen is very capable at managing a wide range of challenges. I organise the care, but want the person cared for involved, Helen has to coordinate, not only with the person cared for, but me too. She is able to switch between caring and admin issues easily. She is extremely easy to get on with and is very effective in her role. The client is a hoarder and one of the jobs was to help the client to organise the property a little better so the client didn't fall over things. When I visited, after Helen had been, I was stunned at the improvement!. I was even more stunned at how happy the client was. This level of appreciation has been missing in all the other carers. When I spoke to Helen she was also very positive about the client fully understands the issues and works diligently to achieve a series of goals, which leave her client both satisfied and happy. The client has already asked me to extend Helens contract for an indefinite period beyond the current preview period. What higher recommendation than that could I give?
