I volunteered at Kings College Hospital for 2 years which has been an incredible experience. Through my experiences I have developed my skills in this area which has allowed me to do my care duties with confidence and without hesitation. I am currently studying the BTEC level 3 Health and Social Care Extended Diploma at Kingston College. This course provides excellent preparation for the nursing degree in which I intend to go on to do. I've always been a caring individual, who wants the best for others. My interest in adult nursing started at a young age. In 2013 my grandma was diagnosed with Dementia. I then became one of her careers, making regular visits to tend to her care. By doing this it gave me a clearer understanding of the welfare requirements of the individual and making sure that the elderly are looked after properly in order to meet their needs. My grandma's illness has moulded my character, allowing me to deal with difficult times. In my spare time if I'm not studying, I love being in the kitchen cooking and experimenting with different flavours. I also like to write poems. I see this as away to relax and have 'me time'. Please get in touch if you would like a carer in the Battersea area.
